Building confidence beyond the recycling floor.

Community inclusion at Green Vision is woven into the daily rhythm of the organization. Participants build communication, confidence, flexibility, and real-world awareness through supported experiences connected to our recycling operation and campus life.

Real-world practice, supported by familiar routines.

At Green Vision, community inclusion happens through supported, practical experiences connected to the day: recycling pickups, supply trips, and public drop-off interactions. These moments help participants practice communication, flexibility, safety awareness, and confidence in familiar, purposeful settings.

Commercial Recycling Pickups

Participants may support staff during scheduled recycling pickups when appropriate. These experiences build confidence in community settings while staying connected to Green Vision’s daily recycling work.

Equipment & Supply Trips

Supported trips for supplies, tools, or equipment give participants practice navigating public spaces, following directions, and communicating with others.

Public Drop-Off Interactions

When community members bring electronics to Green Vision, participants may observe or take part in appropriate visitor interactions, building social confidence and pride in the work.

A bridge between structure and real life.

For many participants, Green Vision is a familiar place where they feel safe, supported, and capable. Community inclusion builds from that foundation. The goal is not to push every participant into the same type of outing. The goal is to create supported opportunities that match each person’s goals, readiness, and comfort level.

Some participants may be ready for more community-facing experiences. Others may build confidence through smaller steps on campus, around visitors, or alongside staff. Either way, the focus stays the same: practical skills, confidence, communication, and greater independence.

Come see the full day in motion.

The best way to understand community inclusion at Green Vision is to see how it fits into the day.
